As the news editor for Haymarket’s Conference & Incentive Travel magazine I have written about all aspects of the B2B travel and events industry. I have also covered news and social issues for a range of charities and publications, including The Big Issue, The Pavement and Childreach International.
I have experience working in communications, having spent two years as a press writer for the Dubai government’s education sector. I am currently working on a freelance basis for the Professional Record Standards Body, a social enterprise funded by NHS Digital to develop record standards for health and social care. I am responsible for writing press releases, blogs, video and podcast scripts, patient interviews and case studies, as well as assisting to organise events.
During the 2020 lockdown, I have worked with a group of local volunteers to establish H&F Circles, an online magazine designed to support local people and businesses in West London. For this I cover local community and business news, as well as editing features on mental health and lifestyle. As a volunteer I’ve worked closely with vulnerable groups, and have experience interviewing people with complex mental health conditions.
